Speed Limit!

Don't know if anyone's noticed, but the speed limit on Hwy. 46 has been lowered to 65 mph. Between Bergheim and Ammann Rd - east of Ammann road it starts to slow to 60, then 55. And the new traffic light there where the new school is will be working soon. So watch out all you speed demons, keep it down! After all, there's lots better things to do with your $$ rather than spending it on a speeding ticket. There's shows, lessons, new stuff for your horse.....

Bye bye Danny

Danny left - his lease was up and he returned home. We really like this big gentle giant. And he looked so good out there in the field, his shiny white coat. He will be missed!

Sarah found one!

After much searching and trials, Sarah found herself one nice horse. ARCHIE seems to be a kind soul that is happy to have Sarah as an owner. Here's to hoping they'll live long and happy together.

D.U.N.C.A.N.

One of the barn brats (Diana) just got a new horse, but he lives at her other barn so you won't be seeing him soon. He is a 3 year old, 15.1 hh. paint gelding who knows nothing! So far he is very willing and hopefully he will learn very quickly with alot of training. She has decided to name him Duncan, what do you guys think?

Hannah's Moment

Hannah and Sunset got over the 2nd fence in the stadium at Pine Hill - but then.. She barely hung on! Sunset was a gentleman and stopped so Hannah could get reseated in the saddle. They continued on course without any penalties.

Pine Hill

Pine Hill was a huge success for all! And we all had such fun. It was hot, but not too hot (like last year!) and a little bit rainy, but we didn't mind as that kept down the temperatures and the footing wasn't hard. Jessica and Wavish put in a fine performance in all three phases to win Beginner Novice.

Hannah tried to contain her nerves and rode Sunset to a 3rd place in Beginner Novice too. Both of these riders finished on their dressage scores! (For those not familiar with eventing, that means they did not add points from the jumping.)
Julie showed Sirrak for the first time in ?? eons. And had a respectable 5th place finish in the GAG division.
Tiffany and Razuli are trying as well to make a comeback.. and came home with a 5th place as well in Beginner Novice.
All in all, it was a great show.

Polo Has a New Mom

Diana sold Polo to Judie Andrews this week. Not much as changed, though. He still lives at Kinswood and still gets to play with all his friends. Diana's a little sad, but she's excited that her first horse is going to someone who really loves him a lot and will give him the attention he deserves.
