Rain's over

After "oh my gosh" predictions of rains, we ended up getting a bit less than that. We'll be ready to ride tomorrow, Thursday on the usual schedule. Back to riding everyone!

Rain finally

Well everyone, it really does look like rain for the next few days. Thinking the horses will be left in the barn and lessons come to a screeching halt. Good news is that the arenas were prepared and hopefully when it's all dried up will be in better shape than they've been in a long time. And the grass will continue to green up.

Baby!

Those of you that remember Tivy will like to know she had her baby yesterday. Heidi's pleased with Cajun's next baby. Tivy's an excellent mom, there are no problems.

Spring Break

Spring break was a blast here. Lots got done. Hannah brought her horse, Pistol, out for boot camp and boy oh boy did she work hard for that one. But she got Pistol doing alot of things she never thought he'd do and is delighted.
She pulled Trigger and Tuckers mane, they look so much better. And cleaned up Kraquer to take pictures of for ads... yes, he's for sale. Just can't keep them all ya know.
Diane and Diana got together and got Leopold started under saddle. Leopold is a willing participant and seems to have been waiting for this moment! After only 4 rides, he went trail riding with a couple other quiet horses and thought it was the best!

Liberty Hill Dressage show

It was all adults at the Liberty Hill show Sunday.Karen took her young horse, Dominic and was mighty pleased with his performance. He was quiet and really good at his first show. Donna and Santiago rode thru some problems on the first test to come back the second time to a greatly improved test. Sallie and Dude were fun as usual, and came away with some good ribbons. Debra and Apollo were really ready as were Pam and Beamer - they vied for first or second place at first level in the tests. And Heidi and Cajun never looked better! All in all, a very good show for everyone.

Leopold's Education

Starting Leopold under saddle has been problem free. He has been taking to each step in the process without incident - and - no bucking. Unlike his sister! He's been accepting about all of it.

Razuli's back

Razuli arrived yesterday. Lost some manners in the time away, but still the same guy. He's gotten a bit lighter, but still that lovely dark dapple gray. Good to see him back.
