Recycle!

Everyone wants to go green - and we've decided to join in and try recycling. Thanks to Judie, who has volunteered to do the organizing and grunt work, we have a plan.
Next week we'll have the trash cans in the barn labeled. One for recycle and one without. The recycle one can take everything EXCEPT stryofoam and food stuffs. We are hoping this will be easy to do as the cans will be right next to each other and all you have to do is put the trash in the correct can.
Easy enough??
And HUGE thank you to Judie for getting this going!

Missing

The school tack room is missing some items. Those people "borrowing" these things need to return them IMMEDIATELY.
Missing is:
2 black foam wither pads
The fuzzy 48" girth
3-4 jumping bats
one dressage whip
Again, if you borrow it, return it right away. Otherwise it is called stealing!
And this privilege can be revoked!

Wet still!

Wednesday we did get the horses turned out - but the arenas at 1:00 are still really wet. Called off lessons and riding.

And more mud

Tuesday is muddy - no rain yet, but the forecast is dismal. The horses are staying in once more and lessons are cancelled. No way to ride in this slop.

Again rain

Monday morning the skies open up again.. more rain. Horses are staying in. It won't be rideable at all.

Wednesday mud

No turn out again today - almost 2 inches of rain yesterday left the grounds wet and muddy. Also, no riding today, needs a day to dry out.

Rain. Finally.

Tuesday dawns with downpours of rain. No lessons today!
No turn out for the horses either.
Glad for the rain!!!!

Help!

Back to school means schedules changing. We need some help with in the barn. These can be paying positions or trade out for lessons.
All work to begin August 25th.
We need:
Someone to bring in the horses from the fields into the barn Monday thru Friday. This takes between 1 - 1/2 hours and should be done before it's dark.
Someone to do turn out once or twice a week. This takes 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

Let Diane know if you are interested in these jobs.
