Liberty Hill

We had 3 horse and riders go to Liberty Hill. It was a beautiful day for a show! Lisa and Tango did a great job at the intro level, giving consistant nice tests that scored in the 66% range!

Danielle took Ty to show for the first time. First test was tense, but they got thru it and placed 5th! Second test at Training Level went much better and they had a very nice test to place 3rd.

Donna and Santiago put in some fine rides and placed 2nd in both classes!

Well done everyone!

Stuff!

This Saturday afternoon... Tiffany and Riane are having a used tack sale at Riane's trailer. Many years of collecting horsey stuff has amassed a fortune to be had. Come by and see if there's anything you need!

Drying up

As of Monday (Mar. 16), the place is drying up nicely. We had about 2 1/2" of rain all told in the last few days. All the horses are back to getting turned out.
The arenas are still drying - jump arena is still wet, but should be okay by tomorrow (Tuesday).
Dressage arena is okay to ride in this afternoon.
Lessons will resume as normal on Tuesday.

Liberty Hill show was cancelled. They will do it March 29 - and we'll go!

Rain continues...

Friday morning dawns rainy still. The grounds are really saturated now - finally. We are already seeing signs of the grass getting green. The rains are to continue thru Saturday so the horses are staying in still and no lessons can be done. We have a show scheduled at Liberty Hill on Sunday, not sure if that's still a go or not yet. Check their website for updates.

Rain??

Wednesday, Mar. 11
Hey folks... the weather has taken a turn, it looks like we'll be getting some rain! Horses are staying in today - thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and the temperatures' dropping. Don't want the beasties cold and wet too!
A little bit of rain falling now, so maybe we'll not see so much dust!

Col. Russell jump show

Colonel Russell's show was a windy affair. Once again - the wind was a factor. Blowing down the jumps in the middle of the classes! Good thing all our horses are used to seeing such things and didn't let it bother them. All riders and horses were absolutely wonderful this day and all had a good time. SaraBeth and Buddy were in such good form they earned good ribbons!
Kate and Buddy did some jumper classes and managed to get into the jump offs every time! Fun!
Sarah and Archie did a great job all around and came home with ribbons as well. Happy Girls with their booty displayed. And oh yeah... Juliet was at her first jump show too. She jumped EVERYTHING Kate pointed her at when we schooled before the show and then came in the classes to win good ribbons there too! We were very pleased with Juliet's laid back attitude about the whole thing and very pleased at Kate's wonderful riding of her.
Congratulations all!

Nancy Fair Clinic again

Nancy Fair returned Saturday for another round of intense dressage lessons to those lucky enough to sign up. The winds were fierce, and difficult to deal with, but the riders and Nancy soldiered on and everyone had a great ride!
Diane and Lily gettting it together...

Donna and Santiago having a good go.And Nancy trying out Buddy - doesn't he look great!
