Need some help at the barn this weekend. Danielle has last minute family stuff that came up and won't be there for Saturday and Sunday. With all the lessons going on.. we REALLY need someone for turn out, bring in and stalls. If you want to earn some $$, work at the barn let us know! Any or all of it.

Greta clinic

Karen's organizing a clinic with Greta again.. here's what she says.

Hi Everyone, Greta will once again be at Kinswood Farms for a clinic the afternoon of Feb. 15 and the entire day on Feb. 16 and 17. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and this time those who want to jump will be able to do so. We aren't scheduling as many rides this time so Greta and I can go play and do some sightseeing, so if want to ride with her, please let me know ASAP. And, as is usual, your check is your reservation! Here are the fees for the clinic: Private (45 min): 1 - $602 - $1103 - $150 Semi-private (45 min. with 2 riders):1 lesson - $452 lessons - $85 Group (1 hour; 3 or 4 riders):$35.00 per lesson

Get with Karen if you are interested!

Once again

Friday morning produces some of the heaviest drizzle we've seen this week. Again, no lessons and no turn out for the horses.
Tomorrow promises to be better!

Thursday report

Once again, the horses are staying in as it's cold and wet. Wetter than yesterday. Windier too. Nasty weather.
No lessons for today.
The forecast for tomorrow is the much the same.
Sigh.

Wednesday report

Okay folks, it's drizzling again. And with the temperatures below 40 degrees, horses are staying in today. No lessons either.
The farrier Todd is here tho, so if your horse is on his list, he's getting done today.

Well wishes

Yesterday Donato bucked wicked and tossed Madellaine hard. X-rays show that there's no broken parts, but she's in pain bigtime. Well wishes, hope for a speedy recovery, prayers.. anything will help to bring her healthy again. We'll miss her at the barn!

Monday rains

Monday dawns rainy, drizzly, wet and ... blah. Horses are staying in today. Weather forecast is for this to go on all week, so plan accordingly.

Richard Howard Dressage clinic

The dressage clinic given by Richard Howard this weekend was a hit. Everyone was pleased with their rides and the progress the horses and riders made.

The weather cleared up for us and the days were great for riding!

Pictures: Hanna and her Sandy, getting a little correction on Hanna's position.

Diane and Larson working on half steps.

Karen and Dominic never looked so good!

Richard returns in April. If you want to ride in this upcoming clinic, contact Diane.

Raining again

It's Friday morning and it's drizzling... and when it's not drizzling, it's raining. And it's cold. Forget riding in this weather. And, horses are staying in today again as getting cold AND wet is no good for anyone.

The Richard Howard dressage clinic is still a go tho. Tomorrow's forecast is for sun and warmer temperatures.

Rain finally

It's Tuesday morning and it's raining a bit here. Forecast is for rain all day, so the horses are being left in for the day with lots of hay to eat on. Looks like no lessons either for the day. It's all good, the ground needed a rain.

Lease available

Razuli is available for a half lease. This is the resident gray stallion, so the rider must have some experience and be willing and able to deal with his occassional "stallion-ish" behavior. But mostly Raz is a good guy. He's nicely trained in dressage and jumping and is a very fun ride. Has competed and won in combined training to Training level and dressage to Second Level. Easy to ride and fun horse. Talk to Tiffany if you are interested in this deal for a great ride!
