Best Dog in the World

Webster - the best dog ever - is gone.

He snuck out the gate with someone leaving last night and got hit by a car.

We'll bury him on the property.

We'll miss him horribly.

Liberty Hill

The first show at Liberty Hill this year fell on the day before Easter. The only rider to attend this Saturday show were Anna riding her Kissy. This was a first attempt at dressage for the pair, and they did outstanding! First places and a championship ribbon! Watch out you adult riders, this one's coming!

Wednesday wet

Late night rains makes it muddy and wet still on Wednesday. Some of the horses will be turned out as the fields dry, but some will remain in today. And the arenas and fields are not rideable today, no lessons.

Greta Clinic

Greta Peterson returned to Kinswood for a round of clinic days again. Many people enjoyed her lessons and learned something.

Heather and Juliet trying to understand the whole thing.

Madellaine enjoying Lily's canter...

There was lots more going on - hope everyone had an opportunity to audit some and learn something.

Richard Howard clinic

Richard Howard is scheduled to return for lessons April 12 + 13. There is a sign up sheet in the clubhouse. If you are interested in riding with him again, sign in and leave a check. That will get you in for sure! If the clinic doesn't fill with Kinswood riders by the first of April, other barns will be called in.

Show shots

Anna and Kissy at the
Indian Creek show.
Hanna and Sandy on their way to winning at Ft. Sam.

Kinswood Shirts

Kim is getting ready to have more shirts, hats and jackets made up with the Kinswood logo. If anyone wants to get in this screening... let Kim know and place your order! 210-325-3009. Remember, if you want saddle pads done, YOU must supply the saddle pad as the company doesn't have such things as that. But will do a great job of embroidering one.

Lotsa rain

Monday dawns with the rain coming down hard. Glad to have it.. but it means the horses stay in for the day. And riding isn't really something you'll want to do.
Cancelled the visit from the vet - just too muddy to get her vehicle down to the barn and heck, she can come next Monday.

Another Indian Creek show

This weekend Indian Creek hosted another show. Dressage and hunters on Saturday. Cassie and George did wonderfully, coming home with a fist full of ribbons. Anna and Kissy did their first horse show and WON the equitation, both the walk, trot and the w/t/c classes. Karen and Dominic wowed the crowd again with great dressage tests. Sunday was the jumpers and Cassie went again with George with the same wonderful results. Brittany and Charlie went to their first show together and came away with ribbons, colors of blue and more. Sarah and Archie also went in their first show and came away with ribbons of blue and more too.
Once again, the Kinswood riders are nothing but great!

Ft. Sam show

The Kinswood clan stole the show this past weekend. Courtney and Wavish aced their dressage tests to win both and also earned championship junior dressage rider. Also she won the Prix Caprelli test - that was fun to do. Heather was delighted with her first place too in Training Level test 1 and jumped Sunset around to a ribbon there too. Good show for her! Hanna and her horse Sandy won her walk/trot dressage test and placed 3rd in her Training level test and walked away with the reserve champion ribbon for the junior dressage riders. Then she hopped on Sunset and placed in both jump classes. Hanna and Pistol placed second in almost everything they did! Dressage was better than ever and she entered some bigger jump classes that went well as well. Karen and Dominic did their usual good dressage tests, some better than others as Karen's trying to figure out just how to ride Dominic for the shows. No bucking, good scores and the championship for the amatuer owners too.

Kissy and Charlie came along for the ride - just to school at a show since both horses (pony!) are new at it. They both had their moments... Kissy thought the metal dressage letters were out of this world, but the jumps were just fine. Charlie was a bit excited at first, but settled down nicely and Brittany was able to jump him.

Great show everyone!
