Marcos show

The show at Marcos was a smashing success. We started early and beat the heat as well! Hannah rode Wally in 3 jumper classes, winning a 1st, 2nd and 4th in them. Then she did 2 dressage tests to scores in the 60%! Great riding. Then Taylor took over Wally and did a couple flat hunter classes, winning one of those and placing 2nd in another. Then off to several hunter over fences classes winning all kinds of ribbons.
Samantha took Wavish in a couple flat hunter classes and brought home some fine ribbons. Then on to some hunter over fences classes and came home with blues, reds and more.
All riders did a great job!

Rain again

So why does it rain on the same days every week? It's Thursday, July 8 and once again storms are dumping rain enough that the horses are staying in and lessons are cancelled. This rain is supposed to last til Saturday afternoon, so maybe you can make plans other than riding?

Back to it...

Monday, July 5, things are back to normal. The arenas are dry enough to ride on and the horses are all going as usual.
Pine Hill this past weekend was cancelled...
Be prepared... another storm heading this direction for Thursday, Friday again. THIS summer it seems to be rain instead of searing heat.

Rain

Thursday, July 1st and it's raining. The horses are staying in and the arenas are not usable today. Looks like an inch of rain so far (thank you hurricane Alex, we needed it) and more on the way.
Many of you had horses to be shod today - that's not gonna happen. Shoer is waiting for this weather to pass....
