Archie

Sarah took Archie to Retama last night as his pain from colic didn't ease. He went thru surgery for a twist in his colon, and is out now, in recovery. So far, so good.
Everyone keep these guys in your prayers, cross your fingers, well wishes....!!!

Alamo Dressage schooling show

The Alamo Dressage Association organized a schooling show at Col. Russell's facility this past weekend. For a summer show, it wasn't too bad, they used their open covered arena for the competition, with the warm up next to it, so the spectators could be in the shade. YES, it was hot, but doable.

Eliza rode Topper to Intro B and C tests and Dressage Seat Equitation and won it all! And in the end, they won the Intro level Championship!

Grace rode Strider to some Training level tests and had great scores. And she rode the Prix Caprelli - which Strider is obviously not impressed with. Had lots of blue ribbons.

Kate took her new horse, Justin, to his first "do". Just to school. And he was so good! she even introduced him to his first jumps! He was a star.

Matthew had Radie looking good to do some Eventing Tests. And Sydney rode Tiffany to some great First level scores. (Sorry, no photographers there at that point,)

SaraBeth rode Savvy in his first ever show. You'd never know he hadn't done it forever,  he was so good. Did Intro B + C and place second to Eliza. And did this Prix Caprelli test to another good score.

And SaraBeth rode Buddy to practice the eventing tests. Had him looking good! Also rode the Prix Caprelli... there's something about dressage with jumps in it that appeals to almost everyone!

All in all, a good show for the whole Kinswood Farm gang. Everyone rode well!
