Wednesday..

No turn out again for Wednesday, Dec. 30. Not raining, but the ground is so saturated that walking around is difficult. We'll let the ground dry/soak it up today and out the horses will go tomorrow.
Riding today in the arenas isn't good - they will not dry enough today to use.

Party plates?

Lots of food plates left over from the Christmas party. The plates have been washed and placed under the Christmas tree in the clubhouse. Come get yours if you left one. They will be left there for a couple weeks... after that, forget it.

Oh NO!

The mugs that got passed out at the barn Christmas party were supposed to be dishwasher safe. Well.... not in Shannon's dishwasher! The decals came right off.
Maybe everyone should stick to hand washing them.
Yikes.

Pine Hill

We seem to be hitting Pine Hill during the weather extremes. Saturday was so cold! we worried the horses would be wild. But thankfully, the horses were very sane and we had good schooling sessions. And walking cross country courses will keep you warm!
Sunday was warmer - but it rained the entire time! The ground there holds up well to the weather as it's mostly sand, so the show continued.
SaraBeth rode Buddy - she was by far the most organized person at the show! She rode all 3 phases of competition really well and ended up in 2nd place in the Green as Grass division! Terrific for her first time out!
Kate rode Nate. They are still getting to know each other - it takes a long time! Their dressage and stadium courses were not the best, but they got it together for a great cross country run and ended up in 3rd place at Beginner Novice.
Sarah and Archie jumped up a level and did a great dressage test. Had some confidence issues as the jump courses suddenly got tougher, but powered thru. The cross country ended up clean and confident and FUN! They ended up in 6th place for Beginner Novice.
Even tho the weather was just miserable - the kids and horses did really great!

Christmas Barn Party

Kinswood
Christmas Barn Party
Sunday, December 20 - 2:30 pm til it’s dark
This is our annual Christmas barn party at Kinswood.
If you want to join in the gift exchange, come see Diane to draw a name out of the jar, buy a gift for that person. Don’t spend over $25, we want imagination, not expense!
Please feel free to bring a goodie to eat to share. Anything at all, this is for fun! You may want to bring a chair as there is never enough.
We will also make a treat for the horses to eat, so bring some carrots or apples to add to our concoction. See you there.
