Liberty Hill

One more show this weekend, Liberty Hill. Only had Karen/Dominic and Kim/Sirrak going this time. Karen did outstanding at First Level, with scores to 67%. Very good! Kim tried her first canter classes and scored really well also. Brought home a fist full of ribbons. Great job!

Juliet's rides

Juliet's coming along really nicely. She's proving to be a good student and seems to be enjoying the work. Hopefully you'll see her begin to join in some lessons pretty soon.

Juliet

After many false starts, we finally have Juliet going under saddle. With just a few rides on her, she's proving to be a sane and sensible mount. Heather was instrumental in her beginning lessons, then Hannah filled in when Heather couldn't and has done the first mounted work. Finally! you say, she's started!

Indian Creek weekend

Sorry no pictures this time people - no one remembered to charge the batteries!
The Saturday show was attended by a few people doing some jumper classes. Everyone did well, Matisse with Maggi and Hannah couldn't have gone better. Good ribbons there and way pleased with the performances. Kate and Buddy were stars in the lower classes and just one run out at the bigger class. Much better for them. Sirrak and Brittany are getting pretty good too, Brittany's really getting the hang of that horse.
Karen took Dominic to the dressage classes at First Level. Won her classes easily, but the best is.. NO BUCKING.

Sunday was cross country schooling day. Hannah and Pistol did some harder fences - and came away delighted. He's jumping the island in the water jump and up and down the bank beautifully. Ashley and Tess doing more this time too - jumping into the water and off the bank. Heather took Wally for her first cross country go and had fun. Almost lost it in the water when Wally tried to jump over the entire water complex - but she saved it and Wally jumped in neatly after that. And he so la-de-da walks off the bank it's no problem. Kate got Buddy over the dreaded ditch finally and down the bank too. Coming along!

ADA show

The Kinswood gang was seen all over the place at the big dressage show this past weekend. Think the entire volunteer force was Kinswood people. Wow, way to go everyone! So glad everyone chipped in to help - says alot of good things about the people at this barn.

The 2 riders that entered the show had a good showing. Heidi and Cajun did some good things and earned a couple blue ribbons. Well deserved!
Karen and Dominic had a rough start as Dominic still new and excited about all this. But Karen's good riding got him thru it and they also earned some good scores by the end of the show. And blue ribbons for them too!

Excellent everyone!

New Arrival

Cassie announces the purchase of her own horse - - - George. He's a big chestnut TB, only four years old, but has the nicest temperment you could hope to ever find. Good looking, good moving, nice mind.. what more could you ask for! He's a keeper. We wish them both a long and happy life together.

Quack

That's what Shannon says... Quack.
Rain is falling again, and by the look of the radar, it will be falling all day long. So once again, on this Tuesday morning, no turn out or lessons happening again.
So ready for this to end...

Marcos Show

It was good to be at a Marcos show again. It's a long time great venue and this is the first show in quite some time. Not a big show this time, but we thought it was great! Weather was good too, not hot and no rain!
Hannah and Pistol had a rough dressage day - good scores, but just odd things. Hannah missed her first ride time, but the management was gracious enough to put her in a spot of someone scratched. The second ride... her rein came off the bit just after the first halt! Yikes. Again the management came thru with a ride time at the end of the class and Kim loaned Hannah the reins from Sirrak's bridle. The third test was it - no problems! And they jumped around with no problems either.
Kim and Sirrak had a good first go at Training Level - the first canter in a show. She won the walk/trot test, so it was time to move on. It went well.
Heidi and Cajun used this show as a means to get back into it.. some moments of lost concentration from Cajun... and some moments of great things. Isn't that the way it goes.
Courtney and Wavish won both their Training level classes in dressage. Then jumped around to a bunch of first and second place ribbons. These two are a great pair.
Maggie and Matisse jumped around a million classes. Maggie trying to get Matisse's confidence to the bigger fences up - and she did, he motored around no problem.
And Hanna did her first dressage tests with her Sandy horse. Did really well! Then Hanna hopped on Tucker and jumped two classes VERY nicely! Good ribbons for Hanna all day long.
Pictures to come when those picture takers send them!!! Hurry up guys!
