Thanksgiving weekend

A BIG thanks go out to the people that stepped up to help during the Thanksgiving holiday. Karen and Danielle took on some extra work, so the usual people could spend time with their families. Karen's gang is gonna be exhausted after the weekend!
THANKS to all.

Liberty Hill in November

This was the last Liberty Hill show of the season. Hannah took Cedric to his first dressage show ever - and it was a great success. They did Training Level 1, 2 and 3 and all scored in the 60%'s. Came home with blue ribbons and red ribbons and a reserve championship for the division. Congrat's!
Kim and Sadie had a relaxed first test that scored pretty good. The second test Sadie had some stored up tension that marred her test. By the third test, Sadie was plainly ready to just get outta there, and Kim handled a run-off pretty darn good! Didn't even let her leave the arena, even if she did try.

Debra and Apollo are still working on those second level tests - some of which still needs work. But these canter lengthenings sure looked good. Some parts are REALLY there.
Next schooling dressage shows will start up again in March.

Pine Hill

This past weekend was a trip to Pine Hill for a recognized USEA horse trials. Two of our riders went to compete, Sarah and Archie in Beginner Novice division and Kate/Nate in Novice.
Sarah scored a great dressage test and jumped around the stadium course beautifully. The cross country run was clean and just right with time, so no penalties on any of the jumping phases. Ended up in 4th place! Kate piloted Nate to a wonderful score in the dressage arena, jumped clean in the stadium. Cross country presented no problems and they booked around well within the time allowed. An impressive 2nd place finish!
Way to go!

Col. Russell's

Colonel Russell's show was a great success for all that went! SaraBeth and Buddy were the absolute BEST in the costume class!
Taylor rode Ty...

Samantha rode Wavish...

Hanna did a great job with Wavish as well....

And Danielle rode Ty - his first! You'd never know it, he was completely relaxed.

And Hannah rode Cedric, our new addition in his very first jump classes. As you can see, he was a bit inventive about just how to do it sometimes...

Show ended early enough that we were able to stay and school in the other arenas, jump more new fences and just had a great experience for the entire day!
