Last June weekend

Lots going on the last weekend of June.

A few people went to the Marcos show, and did pretty well. Courtney took Wavish to a couple of combined tests and placed well in both beginner novice and novice divisions. JuanCarlos and Pablo took their horses to do GAG classes and some low jump classes. Did good for their first show too!

Richard Howard did the usual dressage clinic at Kinswood both Saturday and Sunday. With a full day both days, he did an excellent job of teaching. Everyone upped their level of riding and had a great time doing it! We look forward to him coming back in about 2 months.

Never mind...

Okay, that storm that looked so bad at 8 AM, fell apart completely. The horses are going out after all and we'll do afternoon lessons.

Finally! Rain!

Friday morning dawns with some rain - finally! The horses are getting left in today and no lessons. It looks by the radar, that this will go on all day. Yipee! The dust leaves for a day.

Painting parties!

Sarah Says...
Let's start painting this Thursday in the morning. That's June 19th. We can start around 8:00 or so and go to noon. People can come and go because I will be there all day. Then I was hoping to do Monday the 23rd and Thursday the 26th. Then Monday the 30th and then the next Thursday after that Monday. Unless we get done earlier...

Fun show Volunteers

Heidi says...
I am looking for a couple of volunteers to man the gates for the ADA Fun Show on the 21st of June. If you plan on riding, I will work around your schedule. Some of the classes include Grooming to Win, Egg in the Spoon, Obedience, Costume, Pass the Baton. It really does sound like a lot of fun. Retama will provide lunch. Summer job

The job for turnout in the mornings is opening up. Anyone out there want to do this? Takes a couple hours Monday thru Friday to do - this is a paying position folks! Let Diane know if you want to fill this spot.

Jumps to paint!

Hey everyone... Time to get those stadium jumps painted! Sarah Sprayberry is organizing the whole thing, so if you'd like to join in the fun, get with Sarah and she can give you the particulars. She's getting together a plan now as to when and what colors!

Clubhouse furniture?

Hey everyone... looking for new clubhouse furniture. You may have noticed the couch and chair in there is pretty torn up. Would like to replace it with something less beat up - so - if anyone out there has something that they want to get rid of, we'll use it!
