Liberty Hill in April
Less competitors this time at Liberty Hill. Weather was great and the riders all did a good job - and learned a few things too!
Jessica took Cedric to the show this time. After only a few practice rides with him, she did a great job of riding tests. Scored into the 60%+ for some very nice rides.
Victoria took Topper and just cleaned up! She just got better with each ride and ended up with the division championship.

No pictures or results with these riders, but they all attended:
Elana took Indeed and did a great job, earned ribbons in every class.
Grace and Strider had better tests this time too.
And Matthew rode Aston, Sydney rode Demi.

Nice show!

Congrat's! for well done rides.

New Show!!

A new venue in Seguin opened up to do a CT show. We found it very well run and super friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can't wait for the next one. Rosa and Maximus put in their best dressage score yet. Then the nerves hit and the stadium jumping didn't go so well. Rosa then rode an extra jump round and everything went just fine. Just goes to show she can do the Novice, if she just doesn't get nervous! Not so easy...

JuanCarlos and Apollo did a creditable dressage test to 2nd place - and jumped around so well, won the Novice division.

Then Rosa and JuanCarlos went out the cross country to school. A series of ditches and banks were open to school on. Rosa had a blast on the banks! And JuanCarlos tackled the hard banks and ditches and the trakhener.

Great experience for horses and riders. And fun too.

Lauren and Wiley did a stellar dressage test. Jumped stadium clean for a win at Green As Grass. In fact! had the high point dressage award for the day! Wiley super good schooling cross country, the water was way fun - and he's a good lead in pony for those that won't go in. Really good on the banks, even tried the steps. But the ditches were really scary - took some time for Lauren to get Wiley over the banks. But done!

Diana rode Topper to a win in the Green as Grass division too. Good dressage, and stadium was kinda scary, as he's only jumped at home. So a few of the fences Diana had to REALLY ride to get him thru. Schooling cross country he was terrific. Water was fun, banks no problem. But the big ditch... eegads, not touching that! But he did it!

Taylor and Indee had a good dressage test too... same problems in the stadium jumping that Topper had, Taylor just had a harder time getting him over it. But she managed to finish with Indee's confidence level way up there, so she gave him a really good ride. He was great schooling the cross country, didn't really think any of it was really awful.

So it was a great outting for the two new school horses, their education is coming along just grand.

Also attending were Sydney with Aston, the entered Novice and won their division. And Grace with Strider had a few moments in the beginning, but Grace piloted Strider thru the dressage and stadium and ended up in 6th place.

This was a great show for those starting out in eventing. Can't wait for the next one!

Heat is on..

Summer has hit... think it's time for all of you to take home your winter horse blankets! They are just kicking around the barn gathering dust. Take 'em home, clean them and store them til next winter. We won't be seeing any more cold nights!
