Rain!

A surprise rain storm Saturday - 4/30 - left the grounds soggy. We are glad for the rain, as things were getting really dry and dusty, but don't expect to ride til Sunday.

Liberty Hill Results

April's Liberty Hill show was a good day for competitors from Kinswood. Several first time horses and students were beginning to get over their show nerves. All came home with a ribbon! The lower level riders are getting a hang of showing. The First Level rider, Debra Peterson and Apollo, won her classes and the Second level rider, Heidi Abshire and her Saddlebred stallion, Cajun, won in only the second time out in Second Level. Congratulations to all riders!

It was a fine showing!

The show at Col. Russell's was a success for many Kinswood riders. We had many riders and horses there competing, many for the first time. Diana Morgan rode her wonderful Polo in all the jumper classes, winning first or second consistantly. They even won the division chammpionship! Dayle Matus and Wavish - one of the school horses - competed and placed in the jumpers as well. Then they moved on to the hunter ring where they won a division of hunters as well! Ashley Cotton and her Phread had their first hunter/jumper show and placed well also. The new school horse at Kinswood Farms, Sunset, proved he was made of great stuff as he took students over many hunter classes and never stopped at a fence. What a good sport he was all day. Congratulations also go out to Cassie Bell on Trigger, Chloe Kirk on Trigger, Lauren Irvine on Tucker and Jessica Nickerson on Sunset, all won various ribbons in hunter classes throughout the day. At was a great day for all.
