Forever rain

It does look like it's gonna rain for a good long time now. Everyone knows now that the last 2 days of rain has produced a huge amount of rain. And more on the way!
Horses are staying in the barn til this is all over. And again, please don't turn them out in the fields - it totally ruins any chance of grass returning and tears up the ground to make it impossible to recover on. The less horses we have on wet ground, the faster it will dry and hold. If you have to get them out for a walk around, go out on the trails! Kinda like walkin' the dog... big dog.

Water

Water's all fixed. Pump/well is working great now. Yipee, it's too hot not to be able to hose the horses!

Yikes

Tuesday, May 21 dawns with no water in the tank! Looks like a pump has burned out. No water available for bathing horses - or much else - til the repair man gets here to fix the problem. You may have to groom the sweat off the horses today!

Once more...

Once again, rains overnight mean the horses stay in the barn today. Lessons cancelled, arenas are wet.

And again

Once again, rains have left the grounds with some water to soak up. Horses stay in again Saturday and no lessons happening as the arenas are wet.
Please don't put your horses out in the fields, the grounds need a chance to soak up the water and grass will be ripped out - this land is too fragile to abuse it!
Looks like weather is clearing tho, unless there's more rain today, they'll go out Sunday.

Friday rain

Rained last night and this morning.. horses stay in the barn today. Arenas are wet/muddy. More rain predicted for this afternoon, so plan on another activity for the day!

More rain

Wednesday night a big storm came thru once again. Dropped alot of rain... and the temperatures! So Thursday the horses are staying in the barn dry and warm. No lessons or riding in the arenas, as the ground is muddy with standing water all over. Dress warm today everyone!
