Hunter/Jumper show
The show at the Rose Palace was touted as a schooling show.. BUT, with over 100 competitors, it was a bit more than that. The show organizers were gracious enough to open the grounds Friday for schooling, so we were there Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Sarah and Archie did wonderfully competiting in both the hunter and jumper divisions at 2'9" and 3' came home and came home with ribbons.
Rosa rode Maximus in the jumpers to some fine rounds. Was delighted to get around clean and to remember the courses! She came home with ribbons as well.
JuanCarlos rode Apollo as well in the jumper divisions. He did really well, ribbons and a division championship.
Cameron rode Tiffany in some hunter classes. She and Lauren with Wyland were in much of the same classes. No ribbons for them, as there was well over 20 competitors in their classes! But they both put in some really fine rounds.
And Kendall rode Wally in some beginner hunter classes. They did terrific! earning a ribbon in almost every class entered and even won first a few times!
Great job done by all!

Lots of rain this weekend... but...
Horses got out today, even tho things are still muddy. But it's time..
The arenas are still a sloppy mess tho, don't plan on riding in the arenas today.

And again, rain
Enough rain overnight to keep the horses in today. And more rain forecasted for today and tomorrow. So far, the jump arena is slick and muddy and don't ride there. But the dressage arena is holding up well so far.
Horses most likely staying in for Saturday too.

Frightful Weather
Really cold today... temperatures hovering around the freezing mark. A bit of ice in the puddles, but no ice forming on the horses water. We've turned out the horses today. And then, had a shower of ice pellets. Kinda fun watching them bounce around on the ground. They melt quick, the ground too warm for it to stick. With the forecast today, possible the horses will come in early and stay in tomorrow.
By Tuesday... it will be warm and dry again. We'll go back to it then.

Rain Friday AM
Overnight rain left the place wet. A little bit more rain predicted so the horses stay in today. Supposed to clear up this afternoon and be nice, so we are still planning on riding this evening.
