Saturday Rain
Got some rain Saturday morning. That was welcome! Did make things a bit muddy tho, but by Sunday we should be just fine for riding again.

Babies!
There's babies galore - people babies that is. Cara - Dawna's owner - had her baby Wednesday, a baby girl. By last report, everyone's fine.
And Lance, one of our happy farriers, has a new baby girl too. Named her Emily.
Congrat's to all the parents.

Burrrr
Oh boy, is it icy today! We decided to not go to the Marcos show this morning. Roads were icy and the travel advisory had ice warnings out til noon! The idea of pulling 3 horses in a trailer on the icy roads was too much. With 26 degree temperatures, things were not going to melt very fast either.
And now, in the afternoon, it's all the way up to 35 degrees and drizzling. Fun, huh?
Tomorrow's supposed to be better, back to the warmer southern breezes.

Look what the cold front blew in!
Along with this morning's cold winds blew in some old friends. Larson and Woody are back! And they bring with them 2 Icelandic ponies which are way cute. Woody took about 2 minutes and knew exactly were he was, Larson took a little more time. All are settled in nicely now.

Lily
Lily left for boarding school today. She'll be gone as long as it takes her to STOP BUCKING. She seems to have settled in quietly and we hope she learns her lessons well!
Lyric
Hey, everyone, Lyric's back. Got some bad behavior while he was away, so please let Diane, Jim, Tiffanye or Diana ONLY handle him. We'll turn him out at night. He's turned into one good looking horse as he's grown up.

Sad News
Grey was put down yesterday. The old boy was just going down hill and finally was refusing to eat. Rather than continue to suffer, he was laid to rest out in the grassy field overlooking the valley - next to where he spent some happy times. Very hard for Pam of course, she has our condolences.
