Prada

Most everyone at the barn knows Mary's Prada - she hauls him in for lessons. And he's been doing great.. until he got himself caught in a cattle guard. Massive injury to his foreleg. Our hearts and prayers go out with them for a successful recovery. So far, his surgery has been helpful and it looks like thing are healing well. Be a long haul tho, lots of damage to repair.

Hey Guys:
I get to bring him home on Thursday if he's still doing well. He has been at Dr. Dutton's for nearly three weeks. Dr. Dutton is very optimistic that Prada will continue to heal and improve. We'll have to wait and see how it goes day by day. Just so this never happens again--I sold the cattle guards on craigslist and had them removed the following day....too late to matter though.....Prada is being a dear brave horse. Fargo and I miss him!!! Keep him in your thoughts!!! He looks so good and his spirits are good.

Mary,

I have loved Prada since the day Greta and I looked at him at Jim's trainer's place by Retama. He's a gem and Brittany and I pray for his complete recovery.

I was just at Dr. Dutton's last week, had I known I would have given him carrots. My prayers and thoughts are with Prada. He is such a handsome, sweet guy.

Our prayers are for a full recovery.

Good news!!! I brought Prada home today. He looks wonderful and seems to be doing well. He'll be on stall rest for 3 weeks. His wound is healing well and his hoof seems to look good according to Dr. Dutton. Thanks so much for everyone's thoughts and prayers!!!!!!
