Weekend viewing!

Big weekend on the TV for those armchair equestrians.
Saturday is the running of the Kentucky Derby.
Sunday NBC is televising the Kentucky Rolex Event. For those of you that DON'T know, this is America's biggest baddest event. International even, so you'll see riders from Great Britian, Australia . . . all over the world. NBC will show about 2 minutes of dressage, 10-15 minutes of show jumping and the rest will be on the cross country course.
Watch it or tape it, either way, it will prove to be good TV!

Yes, I taped it! It was good to watch, but I already knew the outcome b/c of emails I recieve, so it wasn't a surprise to find out how everybody did which is the way I would've liked it. I've been reading about Theodore since last year, Ponies RULE :)

I'm hoping that Animal Planet will show the lighted Lusitano exhibition tonight, especially since Joao Oliveira just passed away this week. I read an article that said a friend called from the World cup, and Joao cried in his hospital bed when his wife held the phone to his ear so he could hear the crowd cheering for the last four Lusitanos he trained, and for the last exhibition he choreographed. Such a sad loss.

I finally got to watch the rolex, thank you deb for telling us what time it was on animal planet. they just swept right through the dressage tho:( Oh well. I loved the Selle Francais horse with Beat Mandli, also the Black Stallion with Daniel Dreussar *spelling?* it was really cool. Poor Beezie Madden and Authentic, they were doing so well also! Later!
